Q: What are the class membership requirements for the Hobie 16 Worlds?
- A: All crew members shall be members in good standing of the International Hobie Class Association in accordance with the Class Rules of the International Hobie Class Association.

- 26. MEMBERSHIP
- All crew members on board a competing boat at Class world and regional* championships shall be members in good standing of the International Hobie Class Association in accordance with the constitution of the International Hobie Class Association. At all other events at least one crew member on board a competing boat shall be a member of the International Hobie Class Association in accordance with the constitution of the International Hobie Class Association unless prescribed otherwise in notice of race.
Q: Can I sail one up (one person) in the Hobie 16 Worlds?
- A: The International Hobie Class Rules, Hobie 16 Class rule 7.4 state: “At ISAF, World, Regional and National championship events, the crew shall consist of 2 people. For other events see General Rule 17.4 (b)”.
Q: Can I enter Women and Youth Divisions?
- A: It is not possible as the women’s and youth classes may be on the water at the same time. A youth woman can either sail women’s or youth, not both.
Q: I’m a female crew in the Grand Masters class. Can I also sail the women’s class.?
- A: It is not possible as the women’s class and Grand Masters class may be on the water at the same time.
Q: If my birthdate fall just outside the dates on the Notice of Race for an age category will you still except my entry?
- A: No, the IHCA age limits are defined by General Rule 17.7 and 17.8. The full IHCA Class Rules can be found here
Q: What are the sailing conditions like on Jervis Bay in February?

Q: Is the event being run from the Vincentia Sailing Club?
- A: The event is being run from Huskisson Beach, sometimes called Sailors Beach and not from the Vincentia Sailing Club, Plantation Point in Vincentia.

Q: What electricity plugs are used in Australia?
- Mains voltage in Australia is 240V 50Hz. Travellers from most nations in Asia, Africa and Europe should have appliances that work on the same mains voltage as Australia - therefore you will not need a voltage converter. Notable exceptions to this are Japan, USA and Canada which uses 100/120V 50/60Hz.
- If your country does use the same mains voltage as Australia all you need is a power adapter. This enables you to plug your appliance into the sockets in Australia. Simply put, you plug your appliance into the power adapter and then plug the power adapter into the wall socket in Australia.
- The plugs in Australia have 2 flat metal pins shaped live a "V" and some may contain a third flat pin in the centre.

- Yes , There are banks all within walking distance that will be open Monday to Friday during normal business hours. They will be able to exchange your currency for Australian dollars. There are also many ATM that are open 24 hours.
