20th Hobie 16 World Championships set to reach new heights.

The pure white sands and crystal clear waters of Huskisson in Jervis Bay, NSW, Australia will play host the 20th Hobie 16 World Championships in just 70 days when over 400 competitors and their entourage descend on the idyllic coastal town and top name Hobie racers battle it out for the right to be named Champions in the 16 day regatta.
Liros, Unlimited Rope Solutions and
Wisky Business have just been announced as new sponsors for the Championships coming on board to supply essential support in the production of this absolutely massive event. LIROS, a rope and line company from Europe are supplying the specialty ropes needed for the events boats. Wisky Business are supplying a luxurious 41 foot Seawind catamaran which will be used for the start boat during the championships.
With 320 Teams and 420 Competitors this far out from opening, the Huskisson event is looking set to be a spectacular that could well make it the largest international race ever run by the International Hobie Class Association. The current record holder being the 16th Hobie World Championships in Cancun Mexico 2004 by only 30 additional teams.
